AmpWidgets respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use AmpWidgets on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Information We Collect

AmpWidgets does not collect any personal information beyond what you explicitly provide. The only information AmpWidgets stores locally on your device is:

Your Victron VRM Installation ID and API Key (encrypted in the system keychain)
Your widget configuration preferences (which metrics to display, display order, theme settings)

No data is sent to our servers; all VRM API requests are made directly from your device to Victron’s servers.

How We Use Information

The data you provide is used solely to fetch and display your Victron solar and battery system metrics in your widgets. We do not access, view, or share this information with any third parties.

Security

All API keys and preferences are stored securely on your device. AmpWidgets leverages iOS/macOS system keychain services and sandboxing to protect your data. We do not transmit or log your API credentials anywhere else.

Third-Party Services

AmpWidgets relies on Victron’s VRM API to retrieve your system data. We do not integrate any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or external trackers. Victron® and VRM® are registered trademarks of Victron Energy.

Children’s Privacy

AmpWidgets is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will appear on this page with a new “Effective Date.” We encourage you to review this policy whenever you launch the app.
